About Wiki-Pi
Wiki-Pi v2.0
Wiki-Pi is a research resource centered on human protein-protein interactions, combining curated datasets with HiPPIP predictions for diseases such as schizophrenia, mesothelioma, rheumatic disorders, and cilia biology.
The site exposes gene- and pair-centric pages enriched with Gene Ontology, pathways, drugs, diseases, GWAS, and publication details so scientists can quickly assess known versus predicted interactions.
Curated interactome data
Browse experimentally validated PPIs collected from BioGRID, HPRD, and internal curation pipelines with supporting annotations from GO, KEGG, Reactome, PubMed2Ensembl, and DrugBank.
HiPPIP-powered predictions
Discover high-confidence PPIs generated through the HiPPIP machine learning model, tuned for translational hypotheses.
Search + browse workflows
Use the main search, gene pages, and interactome browsers (e.g., MPM) to pivot between single genes, gene pairs, and disease-focused networks.
Known vs novel context
Each result clearly flags whether the interaction is from curated sources or predicted by HiPPIP, helping researchers prioritize validation work.
Data & Refresh Cycle
Update scripts pull the latest annotations from GO, KEGG, Reactome, PubMed2Ensembl, and DrugBank, and the HiPPIP model is rerun when new disease cohorts are published.
Discovery Experiences
The platform supports:
- Simple keyword lookups for genes or interaction pairs.
- Advanced Sphinx-powered queries that filter by pathway, disease, or drug counts.
- Dedicated gene and pair pages showing GO terms, pathways, drugs, GWAS, and literature references.
- Interactome landing pages (e.g., MPM, schizophrenia) summarizing disease programs and curated resources.
